DIW Berlin and the University of Bonn are pleased to host the 6th Workshop for Women in Macroeconomics and Finance (WIMFEH) at DIW Berlin from May 7 to 8, 2026. The goal is to bring together female academic researchers and practitioners to promote the exchange of ideas and experiences in the fields of Macroeconomics and Finance. We invite contributions, including, but not limited to:
Financial Intermediation and Institutions
Micro-level decision making and its transmission to the macro level
Labor markets, housing markets, fiscal policy and business cycles
The conference aims to facilitate and support the formation of professional networks among female economists across academia and policy institutions. Each accepted paper will be assigned a discussant. Each conference day will feature a keynote lecture by an invited speaker, contributed papers and ample time for networking.
Conference contributions call for papers can be submitted with this form until January 31, 2026.
Invited keynote lectures will be given by:
Kalina Manova (University College London)
Cecilia Parliatore (New York University, Stern School of Business)
Each will share their experiences and provide insights regarding research careers in economics.
