Building networks.
Increasing visibility.
WIMFE – Women in Macroeconomics and Finance in Europe is a researcher-led initiative that aims to strengthen the European community of women working in macroeconomics and finance.
The annual workshop provides a platform for presenting cutting-edge, policy-relevant research and for building durable professional networks across institutions and countries. While Europe is its natural anchor, WIMFE is fully open to participants from outside Europe.
WIMFE has two central objectives. First, it aims to build and foster professional networks for women across institutions and countries, facilitating collaboration, exchange, and long-term career development.
Second, WIMFE aims to increase the visibility of excellent women in macroeconomics and finance and to serve as a clear reference point for hiring committees, seminar organizers, and conference panels seeking to broaden representation in the field.
The call for papers for the 2026 workshop is now closed. Notifications will be sent in due course.
